Who We Are

Gessel Leonard Architectural Studio, GLAS for short, is a new educational architecture studio founded by two partners who've spent their careers designing schools and campuses across Southern California. We're not trying to be a big firm. We're trying to be the right firm, one where partners stay involved on every project from first sketch to last punch list, and where good ideas can come from anyone in the room.

GLAS is built around a simple idea. The architect who starts the project should be the architect who runs it, all the way through, with no hand-offs.

What You'll Do

1. Contribute to real projects alongside our partners and project team
2. Build models, diagrams, and renderings used in actual client presentations
3. Support Revit, and Adobe workflows across active projects
4. Get direct exposure to the DSA process and how educational projects move from concept to construction
5. Sit in on client and team meetings to see how a project comes together
6. Take on real assignments, with real feedback

What You Bring

1. Current enrollment in an accredited architecture program
2. Familiarity with Revit, Enscape/D5, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, Navisworks, and Visispecs
3. Additional software experience is a plus. We're always looking for the best tools for our team to work with.
4. A collaborative mindset and genuine curiosity about how buildings actually get built
5. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills

Compensation and Benefits

1. $25 per hour
2. Part-time or full-time hours, depending on your availability and class schedule
3. Paid Sick Time 
4. Direct mentorship from both partners
5. Real project experience across the full arc of educational design work
